Symptoms Of Bad Ram Slot Solution
Yesterday, my PC would turn on, but not display anything. I could hear the fans spin up, but nothing was displayed on the monitor. The on board diagnostic LED display would go through a series of numbers and end on the number 35 then shut off. The ECO and OC buttons next to the on board diagnostic LED would light up at the same time and turn off at the same time as the on board diagnostic LED display. Then the fans would spin up to full speed and the ECO and OC buttons would light up. The on baord diagnostic LED wouldn't light up.

I thought maybe my monitor was bad, so I tried my old monitor. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried both monitors with my laptop and they worked fine.
I tried the clear CMOS jumper. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried removing the GTX 1070 and using the on board HDMI and Display port connections. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried the clear CMOS jumper again. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried a GTX 750 ti that doesn't require external power. That didn't fix the issue.

I tried removing all the RAM. The on board diagnostic display displayed 55 and I got the error beeps for a memory problem.
I tried each stick of RAM individually in all 4 slots. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried the known working 500 watt power supply from my old PC. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried my 650 watt power supply in my old PC and the old PC worked fine. Now I know its not a power supply issue.
I tried just the motherboard, CPU, 2 sticks of RAM, HDMI cable to the monitor, power switch, and on board video with everything else disconnected. That didn't fix the issue.
I tried the motherboard out of the case with just the motherboard, CPU, 2 sticks of RAM, HDMI cable to the monitor, power switch, and on board video with everything else disconnected. That didn't fix the issue.

I borrowed a stick of known working DDR4 RAM and just used that in place of my RAM. That didn't fix the issue.

I wondered if it was a dead CPU. So I removed the CPU and turned on the system. All that happened was the OC and ECO buttons lit up then turned off. No fans spun up.
I checked for bent CPU socket pins with a magnifying glass and LED flashlight and couldn't see any after looking from multiple angles.
I tried every method of recovering the BIOS I could find online through Google and forum searches. I'm wondering if both versions of the 'dual BIOS' got corrupted somehow.
I tried putting in a bootable USB thumb drive to see if I could somehow boot off of that and reflash the BIOS, but the computer didn't go far enough in the boot process to boot off the USB drive.
If I get the 55 error code when the RAM is out of the PC then if the motherboard bad? If the computer behaves differently with the CPU in and out does that eliminate the CPU as the problem? Does the last number displayed on the on board diagnostic LED 35 indicate a particular problem? The manual says 35 is CPU PEI Initialization.

Bad Ram Symptoms
I just got the asus hero the other day and i think the first 2 ram slots are bad. I tried booting it up with one stick in slot one and got the dram led. So i put it in the second one and i got the same thing. I put it in the third one and the system booted to bios and let me install windows. The only way it will boot with 2 ram is to have them in the 3rd and 4th one. I have tried different ram in those first 2 slots and get the same result. I know they are red and black but will leaving them like that and not having them in the same color slots be bad and mess up the performance of the ram if i try to overclock it or should i just rma it?
